Heath Ceramics designs, makes, and brings together goods that embody creativity and craftsmanship, elevate the everyday, and enhance the way people eat, live, and connect. Best known for its ceramic dinnerware and tile, Heath was awarded the 2015 National Design Award for institutional achievement by the Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum.
Founded in Sausalito California by Brian and Edith Heath in 1948, the company is now run by another couple, Catherine Bailey and Robin Petravic, who purchased the company in 2003. They set out to revive the company by placing a strong emphasis on design while preserving Heath’s handcrafted techniques and designer-maker legacy and bringing together the designing, making and selling to offer beautiful, high-quality goods that blur the line between everyday objects and family heirlooms.
Today, we’re committed to quality over quantity, production at a human scale, local manufacturing, social and environmental responsibility, and thoughtfully designed spaces that don’t just reflect our values, but bring them to life.
